D. M. Consunji, Inc. (DMCI) held its emergency evacuation and fire drill exercise on April 25, 2008, as part of the mandatory requirement of the Fire Code of the Philippines and ISO compliance.  The activity aimed at encouraging awareness and vigilance among all its personnel occupying DMCI Plaza – DMCI Construction and Corporate, Semirara, Dacon, DMCI Mining, DMCI Power and other visitors.

The building management, security personnel and occupants underwent series of trainings to develop consciousness and involvement of all persons in the prevention and suppression of fires and other emergencies.  This is in adoption of uniform safety standards and safety devices in the building and other structures.  The drill also featured evacuation procedures and actual demonstrations on first aid and the proper use of extinguishers.   

The exercise was also in connection with the celebration of Fire Prevention Month of March with the theme, “To prevent:  Be Informed, Get Involved.”
