DMCI is a wholly owned subsidiary of DMCI Holdings. DMCI Holdings was incorporated in June 10, 1995 to consolidate all the construction businesses, components and related businesses of the Consunji family. DMCI Holdings is 66 percent owned by the Consunji family and 34 percent by the public. DMCI Holdings (DMC) and another subsidiary, Semirara Mining Corporation (SCC) are both listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange and both are part of the PSEi (formerly “PHISIX”), the PSE Composite Index. The PSEi is the main stock market index of the Philippine Stock Exchange. The PSEi is the most watched index of the PSE and is also home to the Philippines most major companies, which are also listed on the exchange. The PSEi is also the PSE's only broad-base index. It is considered as one of the indicators on the general state of the Philippine economy.
