DMCI unit bags P2.9-B projects

The new contracts brought the Consunji-owned construction firm’s total order book to over P31 billion, D.M. Consunji said in a statement.

Next month, D.M. Consunji will commence the 42-month structural and basic architectural works for the 67-storey residential high-rise The Imperium at Capitol Commons.

Developed by Ortigas & Company Limited Partnership, The Imperium will rise at Capitol Commons.

The company has also started constructing the Areté, the Creative Hub of the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, envisioned to be the “Museum of Modern Art” of the Philippines. Target completion for the hub is February 2017. 

The project includes a three-storey Theater Building that houses the main theater, block box theater and a museum; a four-storey Innovation/Learning Building; and the Utility Center Building. All structures will be connected by a bridgeway to facilitate foot traffic.

Likewise, D.M. Consunji secured the contract for the second phase of the TV5 Network, Inc., which involves the construction of a nine-storey building with a combined floor area of 20,031 square meters.

D.M. Consunji was also awarded the Tirona Pumping Station and Reservoir project in Kawit, Cavite. The facility will be used to temporarily store and distribute 35 million liters of potable water to the residents of Barangay Gahak.

Apart from construction, DMCI Holdings also has interests in power generation, water utility, infrastructure development, real estate, nickel and coal mining.

Shares in DMCI Holdings added 30 centavos or 2.33% to close at P13.18 apiece on Friday. --Krista Angela M. Montealegre
